At the conclusion of the Git-R-Done Invitiational hosted by Tater Porter & presented by Cooper Tires, Orlando event winner Sean Willingham (Summerville, Ga.) was asked who he wanted to pick as his opponent for the Zantrex-3 Insta-Shot Grudge Match which will take place on Saturday, June 21 in Dallas. “Well, I’m gonna have to go with my roommate on the road, L.J. Jenkins,” Willingham said after finding out he could not choose two-time and reigning PBR World Champion, Justin McBride, as the chosen rider has to be present to accept the challenge in person.
When asked if he would accept Willingham’s challenge, Jenkins of Texico, NM, responded, “Well, if he hangs on the side like he did on that one [Willingham’s Championship Round bull in Orlando], I’ll challenge him all day.”
The exciting new Zantrex-3 Insta-Shot Grudge Match allows the previous BFTS event winner to hand select his Grudge Match opponent from a list of elite riders that include previous World Champions, riders in the Top 10 BFTS standings, or 2008 BFTS event champions. If one man rides, he automatically takes the prize money. If neither ride, the prize money rolls over to the next event and increases another $5,000. Once the money is claimed, the prize will start over at $5,000. The Grudge Match takes place at the end of the first televised round of every event.
As neither Valdiron de Oliveira (Aparecida de Goiania, GO) and Adriano Moraes (Cachoeira Paulista, SP, Brazil) covered their bull in Orlando, $10,000 in prize money is available in Dallas. Check out if the prize money will be collected and watch out----there might be a “colorful” twist to the Dallas match!!!
